Halloween: The Game - Killer Tokens and the Myers Queue
Everyone wants to play Michael Myers, so the Killer queue is the bottleneck. Killer Tokens put you in a priority Myers pool instead of the regular Killer line - but they are earned as a civilian, not as Myers.
How it works: a Killer Token is a matchmaking ticket for Myers only. Spend one per search to enter the priority pool. The token is not taken when you click search - it is only consumed when you actually load into a match as Michael. You can queue Killer with zero tokens; you just wait longer.

Set role preference to Civilian or No Preference
Players who only queue Killer report zero tokens after many hours. Tokens come from completing civilian or no-preference matches, not from playing Myers.

Finish matches to the end
Completed games and arrests are called out as the good token sources. Leaving early does not build the bank.

Check the token count on the matchmaking screen
The knife/token icon next to role preferences shows your balance. The number changes as you earn.

Set team preference to Killer
Not No Preference if your only goal is Myers - players say tokens do nothing or get wasted when the preference is wrong.

Redeem / toggle the token before hitting search
This puts you in the priority pool. One ticket per run - you cannot spend extra tokens for a better chance.

Search and check the result
Load as Myers and the token is gone. If the search fails or you get dumped as a civilian, the token should still be there.

Queue solo if Myers is the goal
Party players report being forced onto civilians even with tokens. Tokens cannot force Myers in a party the way people expect.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Only queuing Killer, then wondering why you have no tokens. Tokens are earned in civilian matches.
- Spending a token when the estimated wait is already short. Wait estimates in this game are unreliable anyway - check the real queue.
- Assuming Deluxe or early access gives unlimited Myers. The token economy applies to everyone.
- Using a token in a party. Party play often overrides the token and dumps you as a civilian.
- Thinking tokens burn when you enter the pool. They only consume on an actual Myers load-in.
