Aniimo: Which Starter and Which Free Prismana to Pick
The two choices new players stall on: Helion vs Lunara at the start, then Glacy vs Grizbo (and friends) in the free Prismana Pact. Neither pick is account-bricking - here is how to decide in minutes.
Short answer: pick Lunara if you want an easier first 10 hours (ranged auto-target, self-sustain), Helion if you want melee feel. For the free Prismana, Glacy is the default safe pick - her Glimmer Shot is a ~15% team damage buff with no element requirement. Pick Grizbo if you want a damage carry instead.

2Twine - The Button That Is the Whole Game
There is no mount. Twine merges you with a caught Aniimo - you become it for combat and traversal.
-
▸
Twine when you need control: precise dodges, skill timing, traversal.
Fly, swim, climb, and burrow only exist on specific forms - a weak Aniimo with Swim 2 or Fly beats a second Fire DPS. Twine also solves puzzles and lets you talk to same-species Aniimo.
-
▸
Do not stay Twined on one form all day.
Command mode is safer when you want the Pathfinder on field and the creature soaking hits. The real skill is mid-fight swapping: Break unit → DPS → healer.
-
▸
Catch everything early.
Emberpup in the first grass is a fine teacher - just do not build a four-Fire team around it.
3Free Prismana: How to Claim + Who to Take
-
1
Push main story + Elite Training to Junior Wayfarer / Wayfarer I.
Players report unlocking the Pact anywhere from the mid-20s to ~40 depending on grind.
-
2
Open Events → Prismana Pact.
You can preview and change the pick until you confirm - the claim is the one-way step.
-
3
Pick by what your team is missing.
A Prismana form looks different, often changes element, and carries a unique skill you can later teach the normal family member.
| Pick | Why players take it |
|---|---|
| GlacyDefault | Heal / Holy + Water. Glimmer Shot: ~15% team damage buff for ~20s, no element requirement - slots into any team. Swim 2 traversal. Healers are rarer in the free list than DPS. |
| GrizboDamage | DPS / Earth + Dark. Dual element covers a huge range of offensive matchups, high ATK. The "I want a carry, not a healer" pick. |
| Hexxin | Regen / curse / anti-heal utility. |
| Blazen / Magmarex | Break pressure - one player picked Blazen at 42 and felt the Break difference immediately. |
| Stellarys | Ranged Dark/Ice DPS if you already have sustain. |
| Pawney | If you are building around Break windows. |
| Scorchhowl | Skip unless you love the design - Fire DPS is easy to find (Emberpup line + eggs). |
4First Hours Order
-
1
Finish the prologue so catching, Twine, and Homeland unlock.
-
2
Check the mailbox for pre-reg and login eggs.
-
3
Catch broadly. Break the gauge before throwing a good Aniipod; save Ultras for rares.
-
4
Keep one traversal form in the active four at all times.
-
5
Save upgrade mats. Do not dump Prismatic Stones, Capability Fruit, or Sparkling Cubes on random greens - save them for the Aniimo you actually Twine on.
Mistakes That Stall New Players
- Sitting on the starter screen for hours waiting for a meta winner. There is not one - both starters get replaced.
- Treating the Prismana pick as account-bricking. Players who "wrong-picked" later caught Prismana Glacy and Stellarys from blooms. The Pact is a head start, not your only copy.
- Claiming instantly without reading the skill tooltip. The unique Prismana skill (Glacy's team buff, Turbo's Dark ATK buff) is the real reason to pick one over another.
- Expecting the free one to always be Perfect grade. Some players got Elite - still usable.
- Checking stats with a held item that sets HP to 1 and panicking. Yes, this happened with a wild Glacy.
