NBA 2K27: Can You Refund a MyPLAYER Build After Spending VC?

Rebirth is the only real recovery path. Once one MyPLAYER hits 90, every new build starts at your previous highest overall with some default badge tokens. You still pay VC to upgrade the new one, but you skip the 60-overall grind.

Do not delete the player to start over
Deletion gives zero VC back and can cost you story progress, lifetime challenges, and specialization. Keep the slot unless you are at the build limit.

Contact 2K Support only for a broken save, not buyer's remorse
Live chat sometimes clones a bugged MyPLAYER onto a new 60-OVR copy of the same build. They still do not refund the VC you already spent. Use it if the career is stuck (draft night, story flags).

Plan the next build before spending another dollar
Use the in-game Builder and the HQ app to preview Cap Breaker boosts and badge costs in real time. Lock position and height first, hit the exact attribute breakpoints that unlock the badges you need, then stop. Test in Rec or Park at mid overall before dumping the rest of your VC.

- Creating a second build immediately. Splitting VC across two unfinished players leaves both weak.
- Maxing an attribute after the badge already unlocked. Past-breakpoint points are the worst value in the builder.
