Stormweaver Permanent Archon Build Guide
Normal Archon cycles ~18-20s on and ~10s off. This guide eliminates the recovery period entirely using Adonias Ego + Dominion anoint + Arbiter's Ignition. The result is 100% Archon uptime - constant elemental ailment scaling, 20% all resistances, and 10% move speed at all times.
The Three Core Enablers
All three pieces are required for the permanent Archon loop to work. Do not transition to this setup until you have all three - the build feels mediocre without the complete package.
The Ignite-Archon Loop
Stay aggressive and keep casting. The loop only breaks if you stop generating crits - which means moving constantly and keeping CoC/CoEA triggers active. In practice the loop is very stable once assembled.
Take ~30% increased Archon effect nodes on the passive tree. These apply before Dominion's 50% reduction, resulting in approximately 65% net elemental ailment application. Also skip the full Archon node path on the tree - save 4-5 points since the anoint handles the trigger.
Step-by-Step Setup
Use Spark, Arc, or Cast on Critical Strike Stormweaver through the campaign and early maps. Do not try to assemble the permanent Archon tech yet - it requires mid-to-late game investment.
Focus on: crit chance/multi, spell damage, mana recovery. These stats carry over into the permanent Archon setup without wasted investment.
Farm or trade for Adonias Ego. This is the foundation - without it, Elemental Storm cannot apply ignite, and the entire loop fails to start.
This is your main currency investment. Arbiter's Ignition triggers Elemental Archon on ignite - it is what creates the re-trigger loop. Budget accordingly and plan this purchase as your primary upgrade target.
Gather: Potent Liquid Contempt + Concentrated Liquid Suffering + Concentrated Liquid Isolation. Anoint your amulet. This removes the recovery period after Archon expires.
Once this is in place with the other two pieces, the loop is complete. Archon never goes down as long as you are igniting enemies.
The Dominion anoint reduces Archon buff effect by 50%. Take ~30% increased Archon effect nodes on the tree. These apply multiplicatively before the reduction, giving you approximately 65% net elemental ailment application - stronger than standard Archon in many cases.
Do NOT invest points into the full Archon path node - the anoint replaces that. Save 4-5 passive points for other uses.
Skill and Gem Setup
Use Spark / Comet / Icestorm / Firestorm as your main damage skills. Lightning base feels strongest for Stormweaver, but fire and cold both feed the trifusion via Adonias Ego.
Cast on Critical Strike (CoC) and Cast on Elemental Ailment (CoEA) are the trigger layer. With permanent Archon's multipliers active, these go into overdrive - both map clear and boss DPS benefit significantly.
Elemental Storm is mandatory. Your crits proc it, Adonias Ego converts it to apply ignite, and Arbiter's Ignition triggers Archon from the ignite. Remove this skill and the permanent Archon loop breaks entirely.
- Frost Bomb - cold exposure, amplifies cold damage
- Elemental Weakness - curse for elemental penetration
- Purity of Fire / Heart of Ice - defensive auras
- Mana Tempest / Remnants - mana sustain for high casting
- Siphon Elements - elemental leech for recovery
Gear Priorities
| Slot / Stat | Priority | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Adonias Ego | Mandatory | The loop does not work without it. This is your first target regardless of cost. |
| Arbiter's Ignition | Mandatory | ~15 divines. The Archon re-trigger gem. Save currency specifically for this. |
| Crit chance + multi | High | The loop requires consistent crits to proc Elemental Storm. Chase this on gear, gems, and passive tree. |
| Mana recovery | High | High casting rate + CoC/CoEA triggers eat mana fast. Mana recovery on hit or leech is critical for sustain. |
| Resistances | Lower | Archon gives +20% all elemental resist while active - permanent Archon makes resistances much easier to cap. |
| Jewels | Medium | ES%, critical strike multiplier, elemental damage. Fill gaps in your passive tree with jewels. |
